if concept1 is getting forge stuff they might be becoming a revo dealer then because revo is kinda distributed via forge in NA. hrmmmm
Ryan, I asked them about getting Revo stuff last time I was at C1. They told me that they were getting Forge stuff, but did not say anything about Revo. I got the feeling that they were not exploring the idea of carrying Revo.
Neil '03 Silver Jetta 1.8T - gone, but not forgotten
Im new to the 1.8t and want to learn all about it so i will ask the question what is a dv and what does it do. I read an artice quickly and I think its a diverter valve?

Yeah the Diverter Valve just diverts the boost when the engine is not under acceleration. So when you press your clutch or whatnot, the boost pressure gets vented. Then when you step on it the valve closes and the boost goes back into the engine.
Important factors are speed of the valve and reliability under excess (chipped) boost levels.
Oh ok i get it, i was just under the impression that they had bov's. Some people switch to bov's as ive read some people mods on this board.
DV and BOV do the same thing.
Some people switch to BOV but many people have reported problems with this setup. While in theory it should work, it doesn't seem to in practice. Must be something to do with sensors in the intake system not liking the reduced amount of air flow, or the pressure-drop or whatever is different.
You can make your DV sound like a BOV by just putting in a loud echoing Cold Air Intake, I have also heard that inverting the DV makes it louder sometimes.
