Grounding points mod: Uses 8 gauge wire to ground different points of the engine, producing better throttle response and possibly freeing up a few hp through a more powerful spark. The grounding points are listed below and are borrowed from this post: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1054918

Audi TT wheel wheel vent mod: Make several cuts in the wheel wheel liner in the fashion shown below. Then use a hairdryer or heat gun to heat up the liner and fold out to create vents. Helps keep the SMIC cooler.

Windshield washer fluid IC mister mod: If you are like me and have shaved your rear wiper, you can easily reroute the fluid hose to the intercooler. Now all you need to do is push your cruise control stock forward to mist your IC. Works great at the track with ice water in the washer fluid reservoir.

    Anyone try these from vortex?

I'd do the intercooler mister, but I use my rear washer nozzle all the time in the winter!

U can still do it with a 3 way gate valve.. I'll be doin that one soon.... I always use the rear washer so I will do the IC mister in conjunction with rear spray

I think you take the open spot where our rear fogs would be sean and wire it up to be part of the brake lights so that extra line in the tail light lights up when you put them on.. takes yea like 5 bucks to do..

My white cold cathodes just came in the mail. I hate the light in the trunk so I am going to shed some light on the situtation. This is a practical, rather cheap mod.

Ya Sean its just a jumper wire from the rear fog location on both tails... all u need is about 4' of wire and 2 bulbs.... go in and take out the bulb tray from the tails from the inside(pain in the ass) and put bulbs in open slotthen jump the wire to the normal brakes and your done.... I have a link here somewhere i will get it

joey mod is self done smoked headlights.. turns out pretty good actually.. vortex search on it or check out the mk4 faq should be in there.. you basically put your headlights in an oven.. bake them.. rip them apart paint then re-glue them.

U dont have to put them in the oven ... just peel off the cover.... all the oven does is get them hot so it pisses you off cuz u cant touch them...
