  • Reprogramming a FOB after battery change - problem

    I only have one key...

So I can't do it the traditional way with 2 keys.

I looked at this and tried it, to no avail.

The batteries were dead when I got the FOB, changed them out with 2 brand new duracells, and I don't get anything.

Am I missing something, or can anyone else shed any light on how I can restore the FOB?

    Thanks

got it, had to clear the number of keys first, then reprogram

although the lock button doesnt seem to want to work for me, the unlock does!

I suggest you go buy another key anyways, it would suck to lose your only key. I know it's expensive, but it will be cheaper than getting it towed to the dealer and having a key made

i think valet keys are $60 at the dealer, could be good for a cheap temporary backup. Might be hard to find someone that would cut an ebay key, they are made of really cheap metal and (from what i've heard) tend to break off in the machines
