  • Anyone in town able to put a C2 chip/tune in?

    Hi all,

Just curious if anyone knows of someone in town who deals C2 chips. I want to delete my SAI pump on my MKIII OBD2 VR.

    its friggin easy.

pop the rain try tabs up on the passenger side. (they're round weird looking things. you're gonna break them anyway so just order some new ones from dealer)
remove the rubber seal that runs along the width of the car at the back of the hood on the firewall.
pop up the passenger side of rain tray
in there you will see the ecu box bolted down
    unbolt and unplug and remove.

using i think its a torx bit seperate the ECU from the case and pull the board out.
The chip is really easy to see, you note the orientation with the writing and little metal tab piece and pop it out with a flathead.
pop in new one and reverse order.
before you put humpty dumpty all back together just plug in ECU back to car and see if the car starts fine.

i'll take a case of kokanee beer please.

i'll try and dig up my VRT build thread photos on this

Do you already have the chip? If so I can swap them for you. If the old chip isn't socketed I can also desolder the old one and put a socket in.

I don't suppose you've got your original throttle cable bracket still kicking around, do you? I'd bring you a case of beer for that.
