I'd love a big engine and all the features but sometimes you just need a
good car.
I have a 2011 base jetta. 2.slow engine, rear drums, coarse seat fabric,
no air, no sunroof but....
I love it!
I picked up a white one with heated seats. Its smooth, stylish, peppy for
a turtle and everythings in a good place in the interior. lots of room, and
dam that front end looks good.
The best part for me is I sold my 89 jetta and used that for a down
payment and so I'm only spending $154 per month on a 3 year lease.
Yes I said $154 per month, Canadian and including taxes. That gives me
a reliable good looking runaround thats cheaper than my cable bill.
It has tones of standard features and will be a great winter and daily ride.
Now that I have a reliable ride I can concentrate on my vanagon and save
money for a audi, beemer or higher end vw. I'm definetly waiting to test
drive the GLI when it comes out!
Oh and as far as the cheap interior, it looks good and functions well. I sit
in the seats - I dont rub my face on the fabric or the dash so what do I
care if its harder. My eyes are pleased and I leave rubbing up against
things to more feminine flesh covered objects.
Here is my car. Needs rims and lower but will wait till summer or when suspension
is available for it.
I do believe that the new Jetta is much better looking than the MK5. That said some of its features are a step or two back.
Time will tell though I for one think the MK6 will sell well in the NA market. That is what VW must do to make $ in this market and become #1 in sales world wide.
First think they should look into is there dealer service.
