  • REVOTechnik Tuning

I was in Max Power Speed Shop at home in the Hat the other day and was talking to them about the Revo Tune.
Is it as good as people say it is? Is it worth the $500 to get the extra 20hp?
If anyone here can give there imput that would be great.

i would suggest other software providers than Revo.
with other companies like Eurodyne or Unitronic, not only will you be supporting Canadian product, you will also have options should you chose to upgrade your car in the future.

I have revo and it is awesome, but I am changing to eurodyne mystro(spelling) because it offers a lot more tuning options and you get access to your ecu to make small tuning changes. But it is $900, and I've heard well worth the money.

I'm taking my car to Mark Malone at Malone tuning, local enough and Canadian support. A lot of Americans of tdiclub get him to do theirs too.

I do live in the hat, moved back from calgary pretty recently. I don't know much about mkvi's, but i've heard a lot of people that are happy with revo tunes. They aren't the most aggressive, but they are good tunes.

Revo has a free 5 hour trial for most cars. Try before you buy. Disclosure: I have revo and like it pretty well.

                    Re: REVOTechnik Tuning

Well with a Golf (2.5) you do not get near the gains as the turbo and TDI cars so it may not be worth as much money to you. Also to this point with MK6s the flash loading has not been cracked yet so some companies are not actually doing it yet or are removing the ecu to flash it directly, at least for the 2.0Ts.

I to have been talking with Matt @ Maxpower about tuning my 2.0T....I am told the gains are significant on a turbo but would love to drive in one first.

I take it sam from CAW drilled this into your head? While i do agree that you have way more options to adjust and tune, revo has been proven to make power on all sorts of applications from a k03 to a gt3076r. If you want to get maestro, youll be spending time and money dyno tuning the car to get it where it should be.

That being said, im running revo on my GTRS and quite like it
