Trunk hinge sensor or hatch I guess for some

Hey you guys know when you pop your trunk and i'm assuming hatch that on your console the door sign lights up showing its open.. well mine never will show when its cold out??? like say I drive home from work park in the garage have all my doors shut pop it no icon but then if its warm out like today and yesterday same scenario.. icon lights up.. same with when I'm in my underground lot downtown.. lights up.. parking lot at a mall. no icon.. kinda funny not enough of a deal to bug the dealer about just wondering if anyone else has this occurance.:whipped:

so anybody try it and see if it does it or not to them? neil? last night coming back from the meet after I got into my garage i tried it and sure enough it didn't light up

I tried it this morning when I got in my car. The dash did not light up.

Maybe when its cold, the trunk doesn't open enough to trigger the sensor?
