I'm not sure about it yet. Like it but not sure about the front yet. Something just seems a little off. I sure wouldn't buy it in 2L form. Why wouldn't they use the 2.5 from the current generation?

They can probably get the same power from the 2.slow with better economy then hat they can do with the 2.5

Because they're on crack? It's been confirmed in the vortex release thread that the original 115 hp 2.0 is the base for 2011 until a newer 2.0 base for 2012 is ready. That thing can barely move the mk4 let alone something bigger and heavier. Dunno why not the current mk5 2.5. They also went back to non-independent rear ala mk4 for the base as well, and drums in the back.

Want to see the interior pics on this car before I pass judgment. I think the 2slow is being used as it keeps the price down, the base price is going to be under 16K in the US, that is pretty cheap for a car this size. I think they are just going to have a great range in engine and trims this time around, so from a base Jetta to a GLI or possible .:R they are not going to have too much in common except the shape.

2.0L 115 hp is the base engine that will make the car come in under $20K CAD. My guess is this will replace the City line.
2.5L 5cylinder, TDI and 2.0T will all be availalbe as options.
still looks like camry. the reason i didn't wait was the TDI won't be an option until much later. the 2.0T and 2.5L will be off the block, so to speak. the city models are so useless. power nothing. whats the point. buy a honda.
