Sourcing a Mk3 DE shiftknob

Hey gang,
I've been looking around to find a Mk3 style DE shiftknob and boot but I can only find the 20th style with the six speed.

would anyone be able to point me in the right direction?

I am also in the same boat. Apparently VW has dicontinued making them. So if you are lucky enough to find one, (classifieds) it will fetch a not so fair price. Let me know if you find any though, and I will do the same man!

well I have found one but it happens to be hanging out on the shift lever of my girlfriends K2...I was trying to find one new but I may have to start sweet talking haha

Could you not just get the 6 speed version and then customize the shift pattern insert or something?

That could be an option, but the cheapest one is $20 from ECS and after shipping duty and taxes its about $80. So I dont really want to dish that much out incase I botch it.

I think Im going to try to nab my GF's...shouldnt be to hard as I dont think she will find a DE shift knob as important as I do haha.
