  • The neverending mod adventures cont'd.

Well after I get my 2.5" catback, what else should I modify for speed?

    I was thinking

    1) SAMCO TIP

What else can I do to add a little more juice without breaking the bank?

I'm thinking of the FORGE (made my samco ) TIP as well. I figure I'll wait and see if there is an x-mas sale

hey what do you think of your J valve?

Did it shift your boost curve up by a few psi, and it peaks a little later?

Hmmm here is what I am thinking:

          Samco TIP $250
          CAI (c1) $300
          J/H Valve $100
          More small stuff ??

Thats around $650 or more, and you're lucky to pull 5hp from it all. How much more would a FMIC be? I am confident that a better intercooler would provide some decent HP gains...

I think a FMIC is $1000 plus the installs prolly $400.

N75 J valve smoothed things out and holds boost a little longer then before.

$1000 for an intercooler? More like $1000US by the time it's here.

Forge/samco TIP is supposed to help the turbo spool a bit sooner. A few guys here did the ABD TIP and hardly noticed anything aside from slightly improved throttle response (mind you, the Forge pipe is a lot more 'open' then the ABD/Neuspeed TIP).

Hmmm maybe you're right, I just really want an intercooler.

                I'd go for the dual-intercooler kit, they're $850 US retail + shipping.

I think on vortex they were reviewing the SMIC and the stock IC was performing better then the forge.

                  YIKES!

Its soo quiet without Peter here..... damn bastard. lol. jk.

                      DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN,

I think my car must be settling in with the J valve. I never felt my car like this before, the torque was mighty freaking strong. Whens the next dyno day?
