  • Boost gauge problem

I just installed my boost gauge and pod this afternoon. The problem I am having with it is, that it does not light up when I turn on the lights. I hooked it up to the dimmer switch (red to the blue/grey wire and black to the brown). Is this right? I am thinking that the LED bulb in the gauge is toast. Does anyone know how to take apart a new south performance gauge so I can replace the bulb?

    Thanks,

Try grounding the black wire first...find a spot where it will be secured firmly againt metal frame. Invest in a circuit tester as well (very inexpensive) so you can insure the live wire you attached to is actually the one you want.

I cant rmr the exact wires you gotta attach to but check that the bulb is on the right way. Just flip it both ways as the polarity matters and it all depends which way you had connected you wires(pos+neg).

Thanks for the tips. I am going to take another crack at it tomorrow. Day off - woo hoo 4 day weekend!

I was thinking of the bulb thing too. How does one get to the bulb on the new south gauge?

Just yoink it right out of the back, it will take a little wiggling. Mine came with the filament buld and I replaced it with the LED.
