from what I hear they ride good, but their durability is in question. They're not stainless steel so rust will probably be a issue, and long term durability is unknown. I was looking at them for my rabbit as well.

It all depends what car you are putting them onto. If its the Farenheit, then I would'nt bother with them. I bought the Rokkor coils, which are the same thing but with a higher spring rate, and they drive pretty good, especially for 300.00 . As for the potential rusting issue, they do come painted in silver, but who knows what kind of paint and the quality is unknown. Some guy on vortex painted his Rokkor coils like a candycane, which looked pretty cool.

there is also a good article on vortex (I think in the DIY of the Mk4 section) that covers rust proofing your coilovers, I can't comment on the quality of the raceland coils, A lot of Mk4 guys run them though, but I do get the sense that they don't last long.

Had them on my mk4 since January, bombproof so far. I've said this before, and I say it again. For $300 who cares if they explode in a years time, they have a two year manufactures warranty as well.

Maybe "bomb proof" however I'm sure they ride and handle subpar at best. And if you say they are good, then you have never driven in a car with proper suspension. Realistically if all you want is to lower the car, cutting springs will provide the same result as buying $300 coilovers. Like Eldo said, you get what you pay for!

You have a brutally obvious hate on for these coils. Did I say they were good? I'm providing the OP with the straight facts, not assumptions I formed after viewing the price tag.

They haven't broken yet, they go low and they are reasonably priced. All I wanted to say.

Honestly never driven a car equipped with these coils. My life experience has taught me however that anything that costs 75% less than another decent product is probably garbage. I guess I could be wrong though!
