Do you think I should wait till spring to put them on or go for it now... only doing a 35/40 drop
Still have my stock tires and rims on.

        Do it now!

I did mine just before that last big dump of snow. I don't think I had too much more trouble than anyone else driving a car.

Got Concept 1 to install my FK Hi-tech suspension on Friday...great job guys.
Love it ...just enough drop for me 35/40
            Handles like a dream...
            What next for my TDi?
            Maybe a downpipe?
Got to get some nice wheels for spring.

Damping adjusting coilovers allow you to cornerweight your car, right? Anyone ever done this?
Damping adjustment does not do this, you should cornerweight your car when setting the height of each corner. Imagine a 4 leg table with one leg longer than the others, you end up with a situation where two diagonal legs are taking most of the force.

              Suspension tuning in a nutshell:
You can consider the springs as steady state tuning (how your car understeers/oversteers on a steady radius after weight transfer). Stiffer at the front, less oversteer and more oversteer. Stiffer at the rear, more oversteer and less understeer.

The damping allows you to adjust how the car feels on transition ie. braking, turn in, acceleration. It controls how fast weight transfer happens. When I first put adjustable shocks on my Porsche, I could go from a nice neutral feel to radical turn in oversteer or understeer by a small change in the front shocks however, on the track (road course) there was REALLY bad oversteer on entry to corners because the rebound at the back was set too soft, allowing too much weight to move forward under heavy braking, unsettiling it just before the corner. A similar effect on corner exit from the front rebound adjustment is that if it is set really hard, it doesn't allow enough weight to be transfered to the rear and you get huge power oversteer (rwd car).

It is sometimes the case that for some people, with adjustability comes a small amount of dissatisfaction.... you are always tweeking and tuning to get things "just right" which means that every time you are using the adjustable thing (suspension, stereo, engine tuning etc) you are concentrating on the faults rather than accepting and enjoying. So it is really down to what you want the car to do and to some degree personality.

Sorry, what am I thinking, supension just makes a car look better cos it's lower.
