Hey Ryan, can you still use your steering wheel controls with that?

unfortunately with sony's NO :( which really angers me with any other deck you can.. you use the SWI-X module which you have to wire.. sony uses a Khz range for thier remotes so I guess you can control it from like 50 feet away whereas others use a Hz frequency.. oh well i planned before on doing a 3spoke or R32 wheel so I guess I'll lose them.. at first It bugged me since I no longer could use them but I got used to it

I'm all about the deck matching the aluminum dash!

here's mine, just a mid level alpine mp3 deck:

Here's a dumb question. Did everyone who replaced their stock (be it the double or single DIN) notice a big difference is sound quality? Also, how easy is the install and how much are the harnesses for it? One last question, how much is the DIN pocket as I have the double DIN monsoon.

I noticed a difference in sound quality, as the stock deck is only 5x20watts, so when you upgrade to a aftermarket that is 5x40 or 5x50watts there is more power available. Although, I have big amps for my speakers anyway, so it didnt make *that* much of a diff anyway.

Boyd had a nice looking deck at last week's meet. I am envious of the backlight color.

i thought the stock deck sounded great especially with all the tweaters i have in the jetta however I wanted MP3s.. I was originally gonna go all bling with an Indash DVD but I knew it would get stolen or something worse so I just got a highend deck instead.. sound quality went way way up too.. all the neato built in stuff in my sony really helps.. most decks have similair tech. behind them so they all sound great i imagine

edit.. I might go indash dvd come spring if I can find one that color matches and can do MP3s on DVD-+'s then I can carry oh 10 discs for all my music
