Stereo Install

Apparantley to install aftermarket stereos and get any decent radio reception you need an antenna amplifier like this one:

Ordering one of these out of the states would be a pain in the ass, anyone know where I could get one locally, or has anyone had a problem with radio reception so do I even need one?

i got mine at soundsaround in the NW FYI though nick the antenna amps for the 02.5+ are different than the 02-99's so make sure you get the right one..

Soundaround sold me two, don't go there and ask them what kind of adaptor you need... take the model # with you.

Best Buy bought Future Shop..... the thing i like about Best Buy is that they are NON comission so they could care less if you buy from them or not they just help u out which i like.... Good guys down at the South Common one here too

really? hmm good thing about the commision places is you can haggle though but I imagine you still can. so they have best buys in Edmonton then? strange I wonder if we'll get them here..

Ya theres like 3 Best Buys up here..... cool stores they let u fugg around with everything... me and a buddy went in there and just cranked the Home theatres sat there on the floor and watched the movie for like 15 min no one even said anything....

Best buy is being built in sunridge, and also deerfoot medows ( around where the NVD meets are but on the other side of heritage )

Ah well I got it in, it was a bit of a PITA but its in now. Didn't need an antenna adapter, good things germans keep things fairly standard, only had to remove security and cut the k wire, it wouldn't come out. So things appear to work. Now for the hard part of figuring out how the thing works.
