If the price installed is 500 bucks for a compustar alarm starter (with pager, turbo timer - everything) on a MANUAL - how many are in for it?

Yah, it's for everything. And the guy is aparently a god of car alarms. But I'm being cautious cause I think the price IS too good to be true (so he must be missing something, not that he's being shady).

And the price is a LOT lower if you don't go with the starter.

You got your quote from Audio Concepts?

EDIT: Noticed you got quoted for the SS model - the FM model is exactly the same it just doesn't have the super expensive floating signal - so the unit price should be less. Still, 500 bones is amazing.

Can your install guy just add shock/glass break sensors/siren to the stock alarm? I am interested in upgrading the alarm but don't want another key fob.

all i am gonna do is get 2 regular keys (like the valet key, only fully functional) from vw, since the alarm fobs can control your power locks.

yea the quote I got was from AC. I'm going too have to check 1 of these out this weekend. So do I have too talk too a certain person for that price or is that just the price for anybody. Also does anybody have any suggestions for winter wiper blades, and dont say Canadian tire teflon ones, bought a set today and returned then in like 2 minutes. Thaxs

You could try the really expensive aero-wipers that bart posted about a while back... I agree that in theory they might not ice up as much.

Yep he said he'd honor the price for others - but probably a good idea to see how my install goes. I am the risktaker! I think I'll be getting it next week sometime.

                        Khyron,

When you get your compustar installed could you ask about just adding to the existing stock alarm and the cost? Thanks.

Would you make a claim to fix a 300 dollar door lock? Probably not. Plus the turbo timer and starting the car from 5000 feet is too sweet.

And it works the same as the bars I put on my ground windows and the house alarm I installed. It won't stop someone determined, but it will likely send them to someone else.

Do u have a date as to when u are getting the install done. Also I would gladly pay $500 just for the starter, the alarm is just a bonus. I had 1 in my other car and once u have 1 installed u will want it again, great convenience.
