  • Mk4 Jetta Trek ITS TRUE!!!

Alright I remember a thread from a while back about someone thought they saw a Mk4 Jetta with a Trek badge on it and people suggested that it was just the Trek badge from the Mk3s. Well today at the drive thru at Tim Hortans (I work there ) a Jetta Trek pulled up with the roof rack on the car and I asked the woman if it came with a bike and she replied yes. This got me giddy and excited but the rest of the guys were just confused and lauging at me. Either way I just wanted to ask if anyone would know what the price of one of those were. I think it had different taillights on it too but not too sure.
    Man, VAG kick ass!!

Here's the deal on the MK4 Jetta Trek. It was basically a promotion by Volkswagen to somewhat mimic the earlier MK3 special edition. The car starts life at the dealership as a regular MK4 Jetta. If the customer wanted the trek edition, they paid I think an extra $500 and we at the dealership would throw on Trek badging, crome exhaust tips and grill slates, a roof rack with bike attachment and a Trek Mountain bike. It was great value for the customer in the sense that the bike itself retailed for I believe $695. The MK3 jetta and golf treks however came from the factory with Badging, 14" alloys, trek edition seats, etc.!!
Hope that cllears things up a little!!
            Cheers
