That's exactly what I'm planning on doing.

I mean, it's great having a car with some more horse power that's more fun to drive, but for what I need 2.slow is enough.

Plus, when I slam it and put some proper wheels I don't know that I'll be going anywhere fast (considering the roads).

Honestly I have a 2.slow. For an everyday car, its perfect and I get good millage for city driving. It lowered with rims to come and it works for the city. Still passes all the other idiots driving out there...

And thats exactly why when I sold my mk4 to come back to a mk2 I hunted for an 8V...Sure my old 16V was faster (when it was stock height) but once I slammed it I didnt drive it fast as I was to busy scanning for potholes. That and I find I kind of grew out of the speed racer thing.

          What happened to your jetta?

I personally would wait and an pick up a 1.8T or vr6. I dont see the point in dropping expensive coils, wheels and oem kit on a car that has no power. Ive been there and done that and im glad that i ended up with a 1.8T to mod.

I know what you mean. Last year, when I had my Jetta lowered, I'd put on the hazard lights on when going around some bad pot holes or sh**ty roads.

There is that section of QE2, north of Calgary (where you get on Stoney Trail), where they did a brutal job by placing these pretty deep road dividers (or whatever you call them?). [especially if you're driving north-bound in the far left hand lane, under those overpasses] I went over them a few times, and I thought my windshield would pop out.

I hear ya man. I sort feel the same way right now.

I still plan on getting something with more power (GTI/r32), but for the next summer. Over the last couple of years I've learned to be a bit more patient, so when the time is right - I'll be getting it for sure.

                Hey man, (sha ima zemljace?)

Jetta is back to 4x4 mode because my fiance needed something to drive for work. And she drives like sh*t with stock suspension. I don't even want to imagine what she'd do with the car if it was lowered.

So, yea...since the car is still pretty new ('07) and still has warranty, I decided to give it to her; the reason why I'm looking something for me (to play with). Plus, if it's a used car, I wouldn't feel nearly as bad working on it as I would with a newer vehicle. Also, I'm sick and tired of automatics

                      haha

I just bought '05 Crown Vic p71 Interceptor (only one of 4 RCMP 2005 anniversary models) - couldn't walk away from it.

I guess my V-dub project will have to wait till next summer.

Also, if anyone is looking for a good MK4 jetta wagon, which I looked at today, here is a

Seems good. Comes with another set of tires (not sure if they're new) and runs real well. The thing that turned me away was this UNBELIEVABLE dog **** smell coming from inside. SO much dog hair...never...seen ....in...my ... life...before..WOW.
