  • MKV Retro Wheel's? Need Help!!

I have been looking into a new set of wheels for the Jetta and really like the slammed/15" Retro wheel look. Just want to know if there are any reasonably priced 15" wheels out there that may have a "retro" look to them....prefer to not go with BBS as its more of an experiment, and I dont wanna spend a whole pile of cash.

Any help would be great.....Although the pic is not a MKV, this is the look I want if its possible....

I think 15" would just look goofy small, no matter how low you go you will have wheel gap, also will 15's clear brakes?

Yes very difficult to pull of that look with wheels that small on a big car. The key I think is the smaller the wheels the lower you need to be to pull them off.

You need more a look like this too work, obviously this is very low too! (18" wheels)

I have seen 17s done that were very wide, like 9" front and 11" rear, but it is low like above. 18's are the smallest you should go on a MKV at drivable height.

I think you could run wide 17's (very wide) if you slammed the car on coils, and you would be OK. It will have that same retro look if you get the right wheel, 17's will look very small on a MkV.

It's definitely a do-able look but I don't think it will be cheap including the cost of wheels, adapters/spacers to get the right fitment, and (presumably) new coilovers?

So what kind of setup would you run on springs? I was told 18x8 is the biggest or 19x8 but no tire over 235...I love the look of that Audi, guess you dont "need" smaller wheels, just a good setup works well...
