  • Oil on the ground at the back?

Small puddle of oil in my garage dead center under the gas tank/rear axle (where I'd expect to see the diff if this was RWD). I thought at first I'd just overfilled my gas tank but it's definately thin clean looking oil.

Not much and the car drives nice but any idea before I make an apt with George?

Drip from something when you changed your oil, assuming you do your own oil changes?

Leave it for a couple days and see if the dot keeps re-appearing, if not, it was some random drip.

If it is really worrying you, just go to a lube city or some place like that and ask if you can drive your car in for a minute and just take a quick look underneath and explaing whats happening, 9 times out of 10 they will say no problem, providing its not busy

Yah I do my own oil, but it's WAY back, like dead center between rear wheels. And it's more than a drop it's a small puddle that I cleaned up thinking it was gas but it's back. I will call George tomorrow.

Yah I will check brakes and oil before I go to work tomorrow. It's funny Ryan said rear diff appeared cause it's exactly the spot my old 84 supra leaked (I just kept adding more). But it's definately coming off the gas tank or more specifically something above the gas tank.

I'm 80% sure it's oil but brakes aren't to be ignored so I'll check again.

Yep that was it - my spare bottle with a slightly defective lid that leaks. Maybe a 1/5 bottle over several months leaked through the foamy casing then down through the drain hole which is near the front of the spare tire area.

Thanks guys, saved me a trip! All cleaned up now.

Hahaha...Thats funny. Its good when something leaks from your car and it doesn't cost anything to fix it.
