GAS performance down the drain

Well after getting my CAI and doing some spirited driving, I noticed my gas mileage is down alot! I guess my lead foot is acting up too much these days.

I've always gotten no better than 450kms/tank in either my old GTi or this one. I drive quite spiritedly all the time though - just not as spiritedly as Bart :P

That "binging" when there is only something like 7 litres left in the tank freaks me out sometimes.

In the 337 I had to try hard to get over 500km a tank until the ligth came on. The jetta seems not so great on gas mileage but I think the tank is smaller as it is a little cheaper to fill up. Also no crazy beep the scares the crap out of me, just a light. The MFA does give me gas mileage as I drive but it is in l/100km which I am not the used to, but averages between 8-10 normally.

8-10 l/100kms is decent. My MFA says about 10-11 l/ 100kms in the city in the 'rado and about 9 on the hi-way. 8-10 seems good for a VR

MK4 tanks hold 55 liters. I fill up before the light comes on and usually it's about 475-550 on a tank.
