Wheel adaptor question

Hey so i am looking into a new set of wheels for this year, but i'm still unsure on where to find the proper adapter/spacers. The wheels are 18"x 9.5, 5x114.3 and e38, i'm looking at running +15, +10 for my offsets.
Anyone know where i might be able to find something that will work for me?

im guessing from youre avatar pic, you drive a mk 4 golf/gti??? the minimum thikness of bolt pattern adapter is most likely gonna be 20mm which will make the offset of those wheels into a +18, which is gonna hang out on that car, will definetly give it some serious POKE!! if you talk to chad at Kaltire in the NE, corner of 32nd and 28th, he can get H&R adapters for ya

well i was expecting some poke, im just not sure how much is too much on a mk4, if i get a 215/40 tire on there im probably still gonna have some serious rubbing issues, i think..

you're going to have a tough time fitting those on the front.

speedtech adaptware off vortex does custom sized hubcentric and wheel centric adapters for reasonable prices. check them out, and really make sure you've done your research offset wise. not many people have put 9.5s in the front.

alright so +10, +15 are pretty crazy offsets, i'm now looking at front et19 with a 20mm spacer/adapter and rear et14 with a 25mm spacer/adapter, i just wish i could find a pic of a golf with an offset like this!

are you saying those offsets are final? et19 with a 20mm adapter puts you at et -1, and that is nowhere near doable. and et14 with a 25mm adapter would be like et -11, also nowhere near doable. please clarify.

example.. i have 18x7.5 porsche wheels in the front. they are a et 50 wheel, and i have 30mm adapters. final et is 20.

in the rear i have 18x10, et65. i also put a 30mm adapter in the rear. final et is 35.




so even if i was wrong about what you said, which i feel i probably was. a 9.5 at et 19 will extend a solid inch further out of the fender than my fronts.

a 9.5 at et 14 in the rear is more reasonable, but you would need a lot of stretch. my rears are 10's at et 35.. a 9.5 at et 14 will extend 15mm further out than my rears.

so at those offsets.. your fronts aren't going to work. rears you can work with, many people have run et25 on a 10, and the rears you want would only extend 5mm more. quite a bit of poke though.

haha thanks everyone, i was just using the numbers off http://www.adaptecspeedware.com/calculator.html im not too worried about the rear as much right now, i just dont know what to run in the front, im looking for some serious poke, but not impossible...what ever offset i get for the front, ill add 5mm more for the rears.

the problem with running 9.5's in the front is that there is a very small range of offsets that you can run, and you'll probably still have to deal with rubbing. not only rubbing on your fenders, but your fender liners.

that being said, i've read about a couple guys who were running 9.5 sawblades in the front on the tex. do some searching and find out what other people are running for offsets in the front on a 9.5, and then base your adapters off of that. i'm not saying don't try it, because if no one ever tried things.. we wouldn't progress. but do your homework so its not a huge headache.

yea, i wish there was just a published range i could work with, im getting sick of google, and vortex searching for ppl with 9.5" wheels on a mk4. The closest iv seen is that yellow gti, thats looking into 9.5s on air bags, if i knew for sure they would work, i could order them... ill keep looking, thanks man
