Brake lights again?

So last time they wouldn't turn on, and it was the brake micro switch.

Now it seems the brake lights will activate on their own when I'm parked at home. I thought at first it was the pedal getting stuck since they turn off after you pump the brakes once. Except tonight I just checked out the window and noticed they were on, while my girlfriends parents said when they arrived they didn't see my lights on …

Any ideas?

probably that switch again. it was recalled more than once.

I had mine go on me three times with the old version. I got stranded twice because of it (can't shift out of park). I got the new one a year ago and I have had no problems. I still bought an extra to keep in my glove box just in case.

isnt there a park position defeat on every automatic car for just such an eventuality ?
