  • Going to do a SAI Delete on my 1.8t

Hey i was wondering if anyone has done this mod? is there anything else i will need, besides the Block-off plate, some coolant, and a resistor (10W 330ohm) for the pump, to avoid a code. Im reading up on vortex, but its hard to tell if ill need some other materials, before i start cutting up all my hoses.
If anyones done this modd, and wants to give me a hand let me know
    Thanks

have a couple of small vaccum caps on hand, jsut in case, are you planning on getting rid of the evap as well? And i believe you need 3 of the resistors.

Where is a good place to get the caps, and resistors? i was thinking SAI, EVAP, and N249. might as well do them at once.

Just go to auto value and get a multi-pack deal that has a whole bunch of different ones in it. The resistors i got, i bought off a guy on vortex, i know a guy in calgary though who might be able to get his hands on some..... give me today to get a hold of him. Other than that i have no idea where to get the resistors, maybe try like B&M electronics or just search electronic shops in calgary on google and phone around.

You lose the ability for your car to meet emissions standards.

You get a much cleaner engine bay, and the ability to loosen your oil filter from the top of the engine bay, Ambient lighting from your check engine light, if you dont install the resistors.

For resistors try Active electronics in the NE (32ave and 19th). I am not sure what wattage and sizes you need but they should have it. If they don't digikey.ca or hell I will likely even have them as I have a bizziollion resistors etc in my shop.

I just kept all my old parts...... then ended up selling them.

But there are soo many SAI and EVAP parts on vortex for sale, cause they are fairly common parts to fail

Aircare centers go insane when they see this.

A cleaner engine bay would be nice though, but that CEL would drive me insane.
