I bet it doesn't pass air care for some obscure reason that will end up costing a ton.

Again, if you didn't give great head, we wouldn't be friends. I don't even know why I talk to you every day.

You make me laugh so often, my co-workers think I'm insane.

I'm sure my sarcastic personality doesn't help.

If it doesn't pass inspection, I'm blaming you, Graeme, because you said "BUY IT BUY IT."

And no, you can't have the seats.

Inspection on Tuesday, will post results. 4000 loosely km's left on warranty, so things can hopefully be done covered by that.

car is 2004 GLI 1.8T, no chip, pretty much stock.

Hopefully there's nothing wrong, but with 133000 km's, who knows. Just had wheel bearings done, supposedly. Car hums a bit at higher speeds. Transmission makes no clicks, clutch is new, grabs well. Shifts well. Comfortable. Super clean. Girlfriend loves it (huge bonus).

OVerall, I hope it works out.

Why is the VR6 expensive to fix? I haven't done anything but oil changes on mine (and a microswitch on the driver's side) since 2003. What am I missing?

That super hot GLI I was gonna buy? Has a lien against it. Bank won't release his lien. Piss me off. WHY WOULD YOU SELL A CAR YOU CANNOT SELL.

That happened to me once, it's a pain in the ass but if you really want the car and he really wants to sell what you do is.....

                              1. find out if what you're going to pay for the car is more than the lein, if it is, proceed to number 2, if not, there's not much the seller can do.

                              2. Seller gives you a contact at the bank to deal with, that individual will tell you what the current value owing THAT DAY is (changes daily due to interest).

                              3. You make out 2 checks and meet him at the bank, one for the bank, one for him.

                              4. Banker takes your cheque made out to their institution, verifies it and gives you a letter saying the Lein has been released.

                              5. Give the other cheque to the seller and say see ya later, thanks for the sweet car.

                              6. Check in a week to make sure the bank ACTUALLY released the lein as they tend to "forget"

                              Hope that helps.

That would be awesome, but he owes 13900 to the bank. Selling car for 9900.

                                Big gap, yeah?

He's gonna try to get a loan against one of his other vehicles or something. I'll know more later. Still rather frustrated, I was planning on purchase this week, until he sprung this on me Monday. I even offered higher. Much to my own dismay.
