      How about this:

Seems to be right in the price range.. might need to be de-riced a little, but its priced to move. (Ryans old car)

The wagon is pretty baller for the price, and the wolfy seems pretty new. I'd cut the second one out of the equation since they never made a 2.0T in the MK4 engines. Whoever is selling that obviously cant read what the engine cover says. lol

those all look good, but i'd like to stay in vancouver so i can test drive the car and get it inspected at my local shop. that 2.0T is a bit suspicious, unless someone literally put a 2.0T in it.

why do you say the 1.8T is expensive to fix?

Listen for random clicking from the hazard relay, can be an expensive fix.

                    No worries.

Dubberz is less helpful, so I post here since everyone basically chips in and has great input. Friendlier I find as well.

What kind of costs would I be expecting on typical 1.8T fixes?

Honestly, I own a 1.8T and I think I may have gotten lucky with it...because I didn't have to do a whole lot to it. But 1.8T is a garbage motor from what i've learnt and the head gaskets blow alot, the waste gate gets stuck, the turbo blows. unless you want to replace alot of that kind of stuff you would be alot better off with the vr6. BUT the 1.8T is still ok. If i had a choice though it'd be vr6 all the way!

VR6 seems like the most expensive to maintain option. coming from allroad.. want cheaper.

allroad sale is pending this guy getting a loan. GET IT OVER WITH. need to get rid of it.

found a few 1.8T's that look pretty good. best things to look for in terms of problem areas on that would be?

I'm trying for a 5spd manual by the way. If I'm getting a smaller car, gotta be fun to drive. Plus i miss having stick.
