I feel very sorry that again to the original poster, this thread was hijacked by someone again.

OK. To the original poster. I do not know what GSX model/year you are talking about?

IMO. The whole modifying car stuff is like a game and passion. You really need to Pay to Play kind of thing. If you really need the performance you(yourself) that need to understand the specification that how the parts can do for you and your car. No one can tell you right and wrong since the parts are use/test/torture in different situations. Asking around is good but up to a point some actions must take. Also, ask yourself more than once “Do I need this?”, “How to use the full ability on this thing?” and “What if I don’t like it?”. At the end you might start to do some small racing, break a thing or two to understand why the performance parts is necessary. Of course, that cost money to learn. Following people’s footprint also means you don’t know what you want exactly. Modifying car is an iterative process. There is no one universal setting fits all. The stock car is. So, start to appreciate how the stock car can do for you now: ex. it comes with all-season tires. The thing you miss will be the fun of discovering and experimenting.

            Peace out.

Thanks for the replies calgaryb5 and everybody else. I guess the model was like the one in fast and the furious 1...the green eclipse. As far as trying to understand my car more and stuff like that, I've been trying to do that..I decided to drive my car around and take it to the track a few times to get the feel for it while it was still in factory condition. It's been over 6 months now since I took it off the lot and I feel it's time to start modifying. Tell me if this is a good idea for mods.

              1) Sport springs&sport shock/strut combo,
              Bushings, Transmission Mount.
              VF Engineering Dog Bone Mount,

              2) Evolution Motorsports CAI,
              Techtonics Exhuast System or Custom

              3) Garret Chip

              4) A Nitrous Oxide System (probably go with Wet Setup)

              Again, thanks if advance.

              Glenn

oh yeah, here's a picture of my car when I first got it. I never posted the picture when I first joined this forum. I'll post more recent ones later.

I've been reading up on those mods for a while and I think the suspension setup is a good place to start. Oh, the quickest time i've ever gotten in my car( with just a K&N drop in filter) is a 15.1s...what do you think I can get with the first three sets of modification I have posted? thanks

Thank you for saying that Chris, I've tried to say my share but my posts either get deleted or edited so my opinion goes out the door. I've tried to resonably deal with Peter once or twice, to no avail. I've freaked out because I was constantly being shot down on the boards. What "leader" insults and uses repititive sarcasim against his fellow members? What bothers me the most, is that one of the most dedicated and hardcore members (Ryan) has been constantly attacked for nothing. Has anything been done about it? No. Will anything be done about it? No. Until Chris has posted I was weary of publically posting and creating chaos, but something had to be said. Peter, your actions have really hurt this club and the members within. It's tiring man.
