Raced a GSX Mitsubishi

what's going on fellas, I just want to know if it's possible for a stock GSX Mitsu to get 13's on an almost stock motor. This dude me and my roomate met up with today told us he was consistent at 13's stock. on the freeway he was toast of course, but off the line he took me....cool guy and all, we actually made plans to meet up at the local spot for racers but I just wanted to know if this was real. What's it gonna take for me to get atleast 13 second runs at the track...or atleast close to it...I'm running 15.1's now..I'm running stock except for a K&N drop in filter. I'm getting a custom exhuast with a techtonics muffler and H&r sport springs with koni adjustables before next summer. Hopefully I'll have enough lute for a nitrous system...anybody got any ideas. cuz any would be greatly apprecited..thanks in advance..

And back to the question at hand:

Yes it can get into 13 second territory with near stock motor. What does he mean as stock motor? Most people consider stock motor as original internals. This meaning he could have upgraded to a huge turbo, and still be stock motor. And 13 second can be easily done.

Now, on your VR6, 13 second passes in the 1/4mile are impossible without a turbo/supercharger.

They are getting APR -- that's a fact -- it's just a matter of setting everything up with the company to bring products in, etc.

Even if they had everything in Ryan, you wouldn't buy anything from them for months -- you're a fence sitter.

Well said, nothing wrong with making sure, besides, warrenty is an important thing for some people, nothing wrong with that either.

Only if they find out you're chipped.

I think APR has some kind of stealth technology to hide the chip from the dealers -- but as mentioned before, all they have to do it open up the ECM and they'll know.

hehe thanks simon.. yes peter I do like to overthink my mods simply because I would like to only have to do it once.. so far I love my suspension choice so I beleive this is it for life and no coils now.. as far as chipping goes my car is fast enough right now that I'm find with stock ECU settings so if I have to wait for a local APR or revo tuner then I will.. oh btw if C1 did have APR as of now I would be down there today getting DPP done.
