  • Wheel well protectors???

wondering if there is something available to help protect my wheel wells from rocks. somekind of cap or something. Not looking for anything fancy, black would probably be best unless I could get something to match my paint. Put the new snow tires on her yesterday and do they ever throw the rocks....lol.
if anybody has any ideas that might help let me know. thanks

I do not want to say this but lsg2 you yank my chain.

With VW said your car will entitle for the 12yrs corrosion warranty. Does whatever stuff you spray add any value on the car?

              I got you something 03platinumjet .
I got 20 plus results from 3M. One thing to warn you is you need to research the one for you car. And check with VW if you put them on will void warranty or not. Simply because they can refuse on a claim very easily.

what the hell does mean ambrose? i piss you off? okay sure anyways.. i've seen DIY uncoating and crap like that I said he could use if he wanted. If VW voids the warranty for that then so be it..

You mean inside the wheel well? 'Cause you can just replace the fender liner inside the wheel well later, its basically just a sheet of plastic and I am sure the VW dealer would sell you one cheaper than any kind of protection you are thinking about. You can probably get a new one every year if you want to.

yeah, the fender liner in vw is better than most cars i've seen. most cars don't have any protection other than that spray in crap. as kor said, i would also imagine it to be cheaper than getting a pro undercoating type spray done.

lol.....didnt mean to be confusing, it just happens that way sometimes what Im refering is the metal of the wheel well openings. you have the flat area that points toward the wheels as well as the 1/2" or so that is flat on the outside, before it starts to curve into the body. thinking something along the lines of a wheel flare but without the flaring out though...kinda like a cap or something.
                      any clearer???
I have seen the diy stuff, actually used it on the interior floorboards etc. in my jeep, not bad but not quite what I was thinking. I know a shop in town here that does something like that profesionally. its called turboliner and is just awesome in truck beds etc. but not sure that thats what Im wanting on the jet.
