  • R32

Went in to ssfc today and my dad got interested after the ignition coil on his jetta **** the bed on southland and had to get a tow.

    Its a 08 MKV r32 with i think 3600 miles.
    They want around 40 grand.

    Good buy yes or no?
Also, is the bolt patter the same on a mkv jetta as the R32?

Basicly looking to get this or maybe bringing one up from the states but not sure if its worth all the effort since theres a clean one here.

    This the car??

If so that is a sick car....not sure of the market for them up here, but maybe try and talk them down a bit. It can get expensive to import certain cars, I have done it before, it can get ugly. Guess it just depends though, either way beautiful car.

It depends. They're essentially charging you $5,000 for importing the car on your behalf. So... if you're ok with that... then yeah, it's a good deal. On the other hand, if you're not afraid of a little legwork... you can get your own and save $5,000. Up to you.

I rather do the ass raping then the other way around. No homo

I find SCFC very shady ever since my last experience with them. Ill never go back again for service or a car purchase.

                      They're just jealous Errol.

Import your own in Summer 2010 when we (hopefully) breach parity again. Heck, I might even get a second MK4 in a different colour just because.

You could get a nice used Boxster for less than that in the US.....

I think its not far off the mark as deals go. I bought by MkV R32 from Sean SCFC and they were great. I have had it for well over a year now.
Considering that the car will always be rare and as long as you plan on keeping it for 3years+ then I'd say its no different to pumping 40,000 in to a brand new car.
Personally I plan on keeping my R long term - it is an amazing vehicle.
