You have wheels that didnt come stock on your car.........
you're missing the point...but i understand your point as well.
Here's my theory:
I personally think that if audi wouldn't have come with the whole LED headlight thing, and if VW were 1st and ppl would see these headlights, half the ppl on this forum...well maybe not half but you get my point... would actually like them.
BUT
Because AUDI is original and came out with them 1st, now VW is trying to make somewhat similar but still different headlight using the LEDs. So nowwwww...people thing that all the sudden it looks ricey or cheesy (not trying to say that some ppls opinions are wrong nor am i trying to challenge their opinions).
SO having said that, i think what he's trying to say is that some things should not be forged/replicated and stay original. BMWs should stick to having their angel eyes and Audis to their LEDs and if you try to copy them and make your own, then you FAIL.
I right now am kind of in between after reading ppl's responses...i still like them, but am 50-50 with my decision weather or not they would look good on my car.
Like any modification I think the Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....whether the mod originated from Buick, BMW or Audi.
Personally I think they look terrible.. but I do like the looks of the LED strip on the R32's.. I think its all in the execution. The lights in question have a cheap-ish look to them.. where some of the other cars are very well done.
I think I can safely say that about some peoples choice in wheels... but with anything, if they like them, all the power.
I personally think there are waaay too many shapes going on in those headlights. I think that there is a way to pull off LEDs in Mark 4 housings properly, but I have yet to see it done.
I'm not really a fan of these, but I also agree that it has the potential to be pulled off with a little more engineering. As for certain things being meant for certain cars, I love my halo's on my Mk3 golf!
