  • I had some spare time.....

Since i am all done school for the Holidays, i decided to make use of my time,
My valve cover seal was leaking a little bit, and once i had the valve cover i figured why not have a little fun. So here's the pics from my wrinkle painted black valve cover.

As it looked when it came off the car

Cleaned it up really good/gave it a light sanding

    All Taped up

    Finished painting

Its all done! Now just to polish the intake manifold...
    Cheers

Looks good! Put it on! LOL. What engine code? Is that valve cover interchangeable with AWP?

I did some fiddling around too.. Well I was bored one day and did this when it was -20 outside..

hey, is that heat shield to keep cool winter air off the manifold? I have never seen one before...

They cost like $30... from 034motorsport.com.. It's to protect the coil pack harness wires.. Although I think it's mostly cosmetic.. I too have the bolt down coil packs.. But I have a valve cover leak so I need to fix that first before being able to put them on.. .. Sorry for the thread jack.

naa naa you didnt jack my thread, that was the same problem i was having to begin with, i had oil sitting on top of my spark plugs, and in with my coil packs :( That would be what started all this. But tomorrow it should be back up and running good as new
