  • Diverter Valve

So ive heard that a blow off valve for a VW is a no go.
I was looking at concept1's website and saw a couple diverter valves.

Which would you recommend? I was looking at the eurojet and the APR valves, although another brand would be fine.
    Thanks

I have a forge 007 and it's worked great so far. Super easy to take apart and grease and no CEL.

        Re: Diverter Valve

Would a diverter valve have the same effect as a blow off valve?
One of the reasons I was looking at the APR is the no maintainence thing. Im not to handy when it comes to under the hood

                Re: Diverter Valve

They are all technically blow off valves, a diverter just recircs the blown off pressure back into the intake, so not to upset the MAF.
I may appear to be nice, but don't be fooled, I probably don't like you

                    Thats what I had.
Works great and not to expensive, and sounds good as long as you have the intake

                      Re: Diverter Valve

Actually a diverter valve or Recirculation valve recirculates the air back through the turbo through a hole in the turbo wall. This in turn allows the turbo to spin up quicker, and eliminate a bit of lag.

One other thing, If I were to get a APR chip, would I have to upgrade my downpipe? I have a 2.5'' catback exhaust right now

No for the APR chip, you dont have to upgrade anything, the only thing i advise is new coil packs, and spark plugs. But the down pipe makes a huge difference in power.
