I just logged back in and I was shocked to see this thread had 3 pages. I had to take a few minutes to go through all the responses and then a few more to stop laughing so hard.

So we have a classic situation of a guy who things you get an eatra 5hp per window sticker and an extra 30hp for a trunk badge from an accord. Absolutely hilarious.

Now I need to go over to the vwvortex site and see the wrath that is being unleashed over there!

Sorry guys, but while you all laugh it up, I'm gonna be makin' a nice little profit in about 4-6 weeks (f-ing shipping times!), when I sell my Euro R 2007 City Golf. Mine's also fully loaded (you know, like the Jetta Euro R -- with heated, um, cloth seats, and, oh yeah, steelies, with hub caps). Oh yeah, and since it's the 2007, it's got a newer model of Recaro front seats, even more dope and exclusive than in the 'ol Jetta Euro R.

I'm thinking of asking $20k, 'cuz the miles are a bit high. Another couple g's if someone wants my winters, 'cuz they're also on Euro R steelies.

Hey, just did a search for "VR6 euro-r" and this thread came up ... I'll let you all laugh at my misfortune. Guess what, I inherited this P.O.S car ...
I had an ad on kijiji for a Suzuki Katana 2001, which I ended up trading for what I believe to be this very car being discussed in this thread.
The guy texts me and says he wants to trade for his 2003 Jetta VR6 Twin-Turbo that puts out a whopping 550hp (yeah right)

Sceptical, I reply, can u send me some pics.
He sends me a bunch of pics, the car looks beat up, but still half-decent. I tell him I'm interested.
He insists that this has to be done today, and I happen to be on my way to work ...
It was on a friday and he wanted to be able to register the bike right away
So I ended up getting my wife to sign the registration for my bike over to him
and he came and picked it up ... Since my wife doesn't drive stickshift, she couldn't pickup the car.
Next day, I get home (I worked nightshift), I'm stoked, ready to go pickup my new ride.
I call the guy and go meet up with him, to my disappointment, the car isn't in such great shape.
The bumper is falling apart, interior is all messed up, door falling apart... etc it's a P.O.S ... but it still runs
I pop the hood ... no turbo. He insists that it's under the plastic cover. Duh .. yeah, really?
So, at this point I want my bike back ... He's like, it's too late, the bike is mine, your wife signed over the paper to me.
I'm getting pissed, knowing that I can't do anything about it now.
He says, you can either leave the car and the bike, or take the car and leave.
I'm like, k fine, whatever, just give me the papers...
Then he drops the bomb... I don't have them

F**K ... so I just traded my bike for a stolen P.O.S ...

Can't go against the guy, cuz he knows where I live. And claims to be affiliated with H.A's

So, I wanna do the right thing here and get this car back to its rightful owner.
And let karma take care of this idiot, which is probably gonna crash on my bike.

You traded your bike, for a car, without looking at the car, checking the papers, calling your insurance company or getting an inspection?


You didn't search BEFORE you got your wife to sign over the bike?
