I had that tool and found it to be a real pain in the ass. I used a 1/4" ratchet extension instead. Just put it in and turn it 1/8th of a turn and it spreads the spindle open more than enough.

Let me guess, coil overs, my bro was talking about this tonight.
If you already have a compressor then mine can stay hidden in the garage

My brother should have just asked, I have that tool, plus the spring compressor as well. If you can get one, my set is only one of the princess auto specials and I don't really have time to find everything before I take off.

Good luck, the tool for the upper nut can be used, but I just use the impact gun, never had a problem getting it off.

Im going to tackle the install tomorrow. I got all the parts needed as far as I know (fingers crossed), and thanks to Tyler, Brent, and Stefan. Hopefully the only problem i'll come across is where to get a skid plate from and to be able to find one before the snow falls.

maybe not the cheapest solution, but I had a plate put on while my car was in at tunedub for some other stuff.

Here's the one I bought, it's made of steel rather than aluminum. Total with shipping to my door it came to $240.00.
