      Hey Deuce,
      Have you put winters on your R?
      I ran last winter on the all seasons and found I was ok. Just wondered how much better I could expect it to be with winters.

            Just put on the winters last weekend. I'm sure All-seasons will be fine for 99% of the driving you'll encounter (never ran All-seasons myself). However, the traction with winters is freakish.

            I'm not sure how to explain the difference other than when you have All-seasons and AWD... you'll get almost everywhere and be smart about what roads/hills you choose to travel on in inclement conditions. With AWD and winters... you will seek out roads that others can't make it down, pass cars up hills who can't make it up... and my personal favourite... give the 4x4 Chevy/Ford/Dodge/etc. boys a run for their money on straight-line drags.

            It's up to you... but for me... dedicated summers and winters FTMFW!!!

              I am on dedicated winters also with AWD.

              All seasons will be fine when you accelerate but it's turning and stopping where the winter tires really shine.

                Engine braking works best to slow down but turning is pretty much nonexistant with all seasons.

                      Right now there is a 1+ metre snow drift between my TDI and the main road. With all the neighbors taking a crack at digging it out the wind just brings it back within the hour. Was able to get the Durango through it with some coaxing. Even with 31" Haks and full time 4WD. Had to pull out the same neighbor twice Saturday and push another through. Even the Tiguan had a bit of difficulty through the same drift. The trick was to take the ESP off and power through. At least the TDI is warm with the Zerostart in.

                        Time to revive this thread!

                        I've been hitting the ESP button to turn it off every morning now... only to be disappointed... because there still isn't any snow yet!
                        OH well... bring on the snow shots/videos! Let's get things started with an equally awesome and ridiculous video...
