I would be tempted as well, not sure on the 3 door, 5 door, DSG, Manual options they would offer. Manual 5 door would be my choice!

According to CanadianDriver.com (as published on October 19th, 2009):
For those hoping for an R32 variant of the Golf, President and CEO of Volkswagen Canada, John White offered this glimmer of hope: “It is not currently in the plans but we could look into it depending on what the U.S. does, now that our bumper certification laws are aligned. "

So in effect... "Mum's the word" for now.

Well now that I have chipped, lowered and put a CAI on my 09 all that needs to happen now is for me to put on a downpipe and the R will be announced for sale in Canada the following week.

I'm taking donations if you want to see this come true.
