  • Winter wheel paint

Hey, so I'm about to put the winter wheels on, and they look too stock, and I'm thinking of painting them, i know a darker shade would work. But I'm also thinking a bright color, like green or pink, purple. i really cant decide, the wheels are 15" Avus

Well really its up to you...

Keep in mind a bright color is going to be hard to keep clean during winter....

      Re: Winter wheel paint

I would recommend using a caliper paint. I used Duplicolor's wheel paint system last year and the end result was amazing but the durability was aweful. Especially because you are going to be using these as winter wheels, the chances of them getting chipped up by gravel is pretty good. Caliper paint is much more durable and will stand up to the rocks a lot better.

Just something to consider based on my experiences...

WHen I did the set on my A4, I used regular automotive paint...

Sanded... primer x2, Paintx4, clear x6 Turned out perfectly.. after one whole season of winter and summer I only had a few very small rock chips.
