Nothing but truth there. the C-class is beautiful, and for the price, it is quite a beast. Too bad they are so hard to come by! Plus, having a 6 speed in that would be incredible, but that is one automatic I would definately not complain about!

          Re: MKVI Jetta spy shots

Not interested at all in either the MKVI Jetta or GTI to tell you the truth. Styling of both is way too bleh IMO. Every car on the road looks the same these days and VW is doing nothing to set themselves apart. What happened to originality? B8 S-line catches my eye as do many of the other Audi's....but it seems like the VW's keep getting blander every day. I'll do a headturn 180 degrees if I spot a nice GLI....can't say I do the same for MK5/6's.

The C-Class Benzo is without a doubt one of the better looking cars on the road today. Clean conservative styling with a definite hint of the past in it (take a look at the front of a W126 SEC and then look at a new C-class...).

Looks like I'll be MKIV4LIFE until VW puts out a Jetta worth speaking of.

                Re: MKVI Jetta spy shots

I agree that the golfs have been making some improvements while the jetta's have just gone down hill, however I still hate the fact that the golfs and GTI's are so damn big now. Wasnt the GTI known as the pocket rocket back in the day??? I mean if you compare an mk2, mk3 and mk4, they have become slightly bigger each generation, but it just seems like mk5 was a HUGE leap in size! Maybe the actual measurements show that they are all closer than they appear, but the way I see it, the new GTI's are just too big for a hatchback!

                  Re: MKVI Jetta spy shots

Thats true of most cars though, look at early Civics and Accords, versus what they sell now huge change in size.

I do agree that the Jetta seems to be falling behind, in terms of style, as compared with the Golf, but I guess this is based on the fact that in most parts of the world the Jetta is not a huge seller. There is also the fact that as the new factory in the states nears completion we may see some distance in the design language between here and Europe, especially in the sedans.

We also need to remember that the Golf/Jetta 6s are really only 5.5s and more a refresh than a 100% new design so these could be more to just hold us over for the big changes to come.
