Do I need some sort of a key to get the radio out? Does anyone have this key or know how to take it out without it?
the car in questio is an 03 wolf, stock radio.

Is it a double din radio? If so just find a relatively sturdy and flexible flat piece of plastic and cut out 4 shapes like the attached image. Make them a bit narrower than the slots on the side of the radio and insert all 4 slopey side in and slope facing the inside of the radio. I used the top of a plastic box of finishing nails but something the consistency of a credit card would be fine (not sure if a card is long enough though). This worked very well for me and incidentally was recommended by someone else on these boards.
