  • Idle changing with a vag.

Peter I know you said you couldn't do this but I was reading up on vortex today and apparantly you can although I think the 02+s have it set at max so its kinda useless, but I guess we could always check it out.

If I remember correctly, Engine, Adaptation, 01. You will see a value 128 ,increasing this number will increase idle speed.

    01-Engine: -- KWP-1281
VAG-COM works well with all engines available in the U.S. and most engines that users have tested in overseas markets.

Idle Speed Adaptation (may not work with APH engines, see your Repair Manual):

With engine warmed up, at idle:

    [Select]
    [01 engine]
    [Adaptation - 10]
Enter channel 01 (Channel 02 for TDI engines)
Enter an adaptation value between 124 and 132
    [Save]

You only make the adjustment if your car have the idling problem. Otherwise it will not give you any performance gain except use up more gas.

Hmmm i'm gonna go into Concept1 to get my idle checked out and see if it can be raised and also I'm going to try to change the Tiptronic mode into sport mode.
