  • Replacing coilpacks....looking for Hitachi supplier

I'm going to be replacing my coilpacks on my 2003 20th AE GTI and I was wondering if anyone knows of any local shops in Edmonton that carry Hitachi coilpacks?

I have seen good reviews about them and I like the fact that they bolt down. If Hitachi's can't be found locally, I'd also be willing to go with any other bolt down style.

I'm also going to be changing the spark plugs and I was wondering if anyone has seen any good deals on NGK BKR7E plugs? Anyone recently see any in stock anywhere?

    Thanks

i don't have any info on the coilpacks,.. but the i'm running the same plugs, and they're really cheap. in Calgary, AutoValue stocks'em. just had to dodge the 20min. conversation from the behind-the-counter-dood about how they won't work in my car, and that i'd just be coming back to exchange them for the correct platinum plugs listed on his computer.

        Are Bremi coilpacks any good?

Whats the difference between the "E" version and the "R" version?

I've had the replacement stockers since 2004 and not one issue. Buy a spare and keep it with the tire and call it a day. Can swap in 2 mins (except 4 that takes a couple more seconds)

I went with 034motorsports and shipping came super quick and they were really good with the customs fees.

Thanks for the info. I already replaced the coilpacks.

I can't believe how much a difference the new coilpacks and spark plugs made.
