Man down- need help! Please!!!!

HEY GUYS,
was at a light car died. batt light came on turn it over couldnt get passed 2000 rpm pulled it over.

turned it back on , very rough idol jumping between 200 and 900 rpm.
Slipped into first to move it> below 2000 rpm seems ok but jerks a lot,
When turbo spools, its very loud sounds like I blew a hose but nothing from the MAS to the inlet popped off. lower hose maybe? coil? how can conf this and how do i know if its safe to drive home? it wont go any faster than 15k.
its stuck at Bow trail and 46th.any advice?dont want to leave it there.....

it was just chipped at concept last week
Could I have blown my diverter valve?

check eng did not come on and is not on now

Lower intercooler pipe? Check the area in your right wheel well to see if it has popped off.


Sorry not a 1.8T guy but when you mentioned that you just got chipped that is the first thing that came to my mind.

Coil packs? You mention very rough idling.

i thought that too but what are the odds i would hear all that noise from the turbo spooling? may past exp with coils make my 1.8 t sound like a subaru?!!!!

i would i just dont want to waste the time or money if its a lower hose......
i should have put in that boost gauge . lol

right after my friend chipped his gti like a week after he had to replace coil pack. But he also had a check engine light on.

just ran them individually (coils) and changed the plugs last week, i think lower intercooler pipe , im going to check it tonight , just got the car towed back here...

my friend had his 1.8t chipped recently and the coils went right away. he got the diverter valve at the same time he got the chip. hopefully my 07 gti is fine, i got chipped on monday

Sounds EXACTLY like what happened to a buddys 1.8t (chipped) and turned out to be collapsed boost tubing at the intercooler

you are the winner! blew the clamp right off,swaping it out now.

this would have been way less stressful if I installed that boost gauge....lmao
