Many owners of vehicles outfitted with the 2.0T BPY motor have issues with a high amount of wear on the cam follower for high pressure fuel pump.
It is a poor design (should be a roller) and leads to many problems. If you go too long without replacing/checking your cam follower, it will wear thru and ruin the cam thus needing a expensive top-end rebuild.
There is a thread on MKVGTI.com where they are petitioning VW and sending emails to top executives to try to have VW acknowledge this flaw, and include it in regular inspections and such. Add yourself to the pole/list for strength in numbers.
