Quick fitment question...

So I'm trying to figure out whether or not I can get 19" rims to fit on my Jetta w/o any major rubbing problems. I've been trying to find out what how much of a drop exactly my car has gone through but can't seem to find any measurements of how a mk4 Jetta with stock suspension sits. I measured from cement to middle of the fender arch and came up with 25" so hopefully that helps you guys out(I figure it's somewhere between 1.5-2" drop).

The rims I'm looking to get will be 19x8.5, tires are 225/35/19 and there will also be 10mm spacers all around. I'm guessing that I may need a fender roller but I'm not too sure. What do you guys think? Will I need to use a fender roller to get a better fitment or will I be alright as is?

Why are you running spacers with concerns about rubbing? Put the wheels on first without them and see how they fit. Or are they adapters?

Do you know the wheel offsets because without those nobody is going to be able to offer any advice.

Lots of people have put 19's on a slammed Mk4 and been fine, and I know a lot of people have done 8.5 widths with those tires too. I think its a common Axis size and they recommend those tires, and everyone and their cousin has had 19" Axis wheels. But what is more concerning is the spacers and the offsets.

^Sure sounds like typical Axis/MK4 sizing. In future when posting anything about wheels its very helpful to know the offset as well. No you do not need a fender roller, not sure who gave you that idea. 19x8.5et35 (25 if you use the spacers) is a common size that fits without any issues. Rear may rub the fenderliner on large dips when people are sitting in the back but that is expected. With those tire sizes there should be plenty of room up front as well with any moderate drop (cup kit/coils/whatever).

For now...I will assume +35 offset.
- 19x8.5 running 225/35's = very very slight stretched.
- Rear = fine. Won't be flush, but decent looking.
- Front = fine. Will be pretty much flush

These are 19x8.5 LM's et25 with 225/35/19's. Exact same combo as you are looking to purchase. Your 10mm spacers would bring the wheel offset to +25. (Again, I am assuming the wheels in question are +35. If not, disregard.)

i run 19x8.5s with a FK cupkit, 55 45 drop i think,

i rub occasionally i the back, but as long as you dont have a packed car all the time its good to go

Again. 19x8.5 means NOTHING without mention of tire sizes + offsets.

believe it or not the rubbing issue happens more when people want a 19 inch wheel and way too wide of rubber . its not a viper and tires don't protect the lip of the rim so stretch it just a tad . not like me but just a bit will allow for a wider stance from your offset
