  • FK Powertech coilovers

C-1 has these coilovers for sale right now. Anyone have any experience with them??

I was thinking about those for $925 or the FK hi-tec kit for $495... thoughts?

I almost bit the bullet on the ones I mentioned above.. But something in me held me back.. Im now saving up for something a little nicer with adjustable dampening. There are people though that just want the look of being lowered and keep their oem suspension set up to switch over.

It says these have adjustable dampening. I'm lloking for a bit of drop and a bit of a stiffer ride, but not crazy stiff. I'd say something marginally stiffer than the sport suspension from VW

              Re: FK Powertech coilovers

If you only want marginal drop and marginal stiff I would be avoiding coilovers then, just look for a spring shock combo.

              My opinion

I agree with Blair. A good shock and spring combo would be best in this scenario.

How about H&R cup kits? Heard some guys run them on MK4s.

That's what I've been thinking of for a while, or the FK cup kit.

I have an FK cup kit on both the mk3 and mk4. May not be the most comfortable ride, but it does the trick, it improves the handling a bit and it does make the car lower. for now, thats all I need.

Can never go wrong with an H&R Cupkit but not the cheapest option out there.

I'm going with some Bilstein PSS9's for my suspension overhaul. I want my car to feel stiffer and have the adjustable ride heights.
