      Re: Turn Signal Problem

Dumb question, where exactly do I spray the electrical cleaner? I was trying to spray last night and this afternoon. The small straw does not really fit into the left indicator stalk to pray. I sprayed a few times where I could. It was not so bad this morning, but will see how it goes on the drive home...

        Here is where to spray:

Don't forget to pull the lever to create a gap to allow the spray to penetrate the assembly.

          Re: Turn Signal Problem

Someone had mentioned the solution on the first page....Hazard switch. Pretty common on the MK4's. I've replaced more hazard switches rather then the turn signal stalk to remedy the problem. And as far as the stalks are only good for about 120,000kms is B.S.

Thanks for the photo and info, much appreciated. I blasted it this morning. Most of the clicking has gone, i just get the odd 'click' now and again.

damnit, now I have this problem in my Passat. I don't think I'll bother with the spray trick though, they can just replace it if its warranty...

                  Re: Turn Signal Problem

Hey thanks for the pic and fix threads. I've had the same problem and then it eventually went away. It's been coming back a bit but I'll try the cleaner solution.

                  Cheers!

I got a new signal control arm this morning. SCFC got it replaced pretty quick for me. No clicking for the drive home for xmas!
