  • OE Vented Fender liner

I got one for my Jetta, thought it was easier than hacking up a TT liner. Good for all the people with the side mount coolers. Not sure why the NA City Jetta get this one, might be the first part off of the city Jetta worth buying.

I have been running mine for about 6 months. I don't think there is a IAT sensor after the IC.

We did the vent mod once on Bart's TDI and we did some serious scientific benchmarking and temp readings afterwards, and couldn't see any improvements :( But if its oem now on the City cars, then maybe there is some benefit.

They are $85, or $55, depending on who you get to get it from the dealership.

VW put vented fender liners on most cars now, I wonder why they cheaped out on the MK4's

Was a special order at South Centre so I said I'd get it later.

For a fender liner, about 16? screws, you need to remove the wheel in question. Probably 15 - 20 minute job if you aren't going like mad.

Install was simple, 10 screws. 10 min, no wheel removal required, just lift the car to access the screws.
There was 2 screws at the bottom that didn't line up with the the 2 screws in the GLI lip.
