    Re: Cold air?

The PSHHHH sound got annoying for me after about 6 months.

I had a short ram intake and I felt like it was bogging down the car, not sure why, so I bought a K&N drop in filter for the stock airbox and I am really enjoying it, plus it is almost like a cold air intake anyways if you see where that snorkel goes.

No PSHH noise but the turbo spool is still very audible. I'm pretty sure there is a "swiss cheese" modification you can do to it though (as in cutting holes in it like swiss cheese)

        Re: Cold air?

I have an Autotech CAI in my Jetta 1.8T. The filter is right behind the bumper vent. I drove it around 2 months last winter and in a fair bit of rain.
There havent had any isses with it so far. I do my best to stay away from puddles though
