  • Think I need an A/C recharge

So I think my A/C has stopped working.
I can hear it come on when at idle and I press the A/C button, but there is no noticeable change in temperature. So I hope I just need a recharge and nothing major wrong because I don't want the 4x60 cooling system.

Where should I take it to get looked at? Does Tunedub do A/C?

I did a search and all A/C thread I found were from 2007, so new thread it is.

    Thanks

Depending on the age of the vehicle an R134 system loses about 15% per year.
more than that you have a leak or the refrigerant has broken down over time.
        not as good as R12.

If you are too cheap to afford the $200 the recharge could cost you

            http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows...arge%2BKit.jsp

You have to do the work, but a hell of a lot cheaper.

$200 is ok, $300 is ok. But if theres a leak, or a broken condenser or something then im Fcked

                          For now.....
the more you use it the better it is and won't go limp on you.
but the oil is what coats the inners of the hoses to prevent leaks.
and r134 breaks down over time..
And Bart it's not life time,
It's 4 years 80,000 km's Warranty.(but for some people that could be lifetime)
